For nearly 3 years, I’ve been leading the recruiting and hiring initiatives at CodeScience. One perk that comes with being the Talent Team Lead for a fantastic company in the Salesforce ecosystem is being able to attend fabulous events like TrailHeaDX.
This year, CodeScience spent an amazing few days with Vetforce, TrailHead for Partners, and the awesome team that put on the TralheaDX career event.
This was a unique opportunity to meet and network with outstanding candidates who are looking to improve their Salesforce skills by attending TrailheaDX! Over the two sessions, there were hundreds of candidates who mingled with recruiters and managers from some of the best technical leaders in the Salesforce Ecosystem (of course, including CodeScience!).
The Sky’s the Limit with Vetforce
As part of the many opportunities Salesforce put together, we were also treated to an event with the team from Vetforce.
Vetforce is the Salesforce job training and career accelerator program for military service members, veterans, and spouses. CodeScience was honored to be included in an event that was geared toward showcasing the skills and experiences veterans bring to the civilian workforce. We spent the day with the California Air National Guard on what was truly a DreamLift!
We had the chance to meet with and learn from the 129th Rescue Wing (CA Air National Guard). We spent the afternoon meeting with members of the Air Combat Command/12th Air Force, Personnel Recovery teams, combat search and rescue, and first responders. It was an excellent chance to find out about not only what these heroes do for the National Guard, but how they have translated those skills to civilian jobs. I spent the afternoon in fantastic conversations and came away with some new perspectives and some new friends!

It Takes All types
One of the many things I love about CodeScience is that we have an explicit focus on inclusivity and diversity — it is one of our core values. And, as the first face many potential employees see when learning about CodeScience, it is important to remember that bringing together people across all walks of life creates a stronger team here.

As I was hanging out at our booth at the career fair, I was blown away how many people stopped by just to say “Hi” or wish our developers well. What many who haven’t been part of the world of Salesforce don’t understand is it truly is like a big family that welcomes anyone and everyone.
It should come as no surprise when I say I had an incredible time at this year’s TrailHeaDX — from the people to the conversations to the stories I heard, there is no shortage of amazing people who are taking this platform to the next level.
