CodeScience is proud to be among the first batch of 14 hand-picked companies selected for the new Salesforce Incubator — located in the same building as Heroku, SalesforceIQ, and Steelbrick. We’ll be collaborating with cutting-edge talent, helping to bring the next hot thing to the Salesforce ecosystem.

The startup incubator will provide a “workspace for select companies to innovate, collaborate, share best practices and interact with the Salesforce ecosystem. Our first batch of startups pays homage to our roots as a SaaS pioneer and will focus on SaaS companies built on the Salesforce Platform,” said Julia Barrett, Global Program Director for Salesforce startups in her blog post.

Salesforce Incubator Entrance

“The first batch is customer service-focused, and includes companies at the prototype stage to those with lots of customer traction,” Ludovic Ulrich, Salesforce’s head of Startup Relations said. “The common denominator is obsession with customers.”

The incubator comes hand-in-hand with the new $50 million investment fund, called the Lightning Fund. This is the one-two punch for Salesforce’s latest push to foster an ecosystem of applications that run on its cloud-computing platform. Salesforce Ventures is the only corporate venture fund invested 100% in enterprise cloud computing, according to John Somorjai, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Salesforce Ventures.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing our experience of launching 90+ products on the AppExchange to the Incubator,” says Brian Walsh, CEO of CodeScience. “Although we’re in growth mode and perhaps not the typical definition of a startup, we’re aligned with the fundamental principles: innovation on the Salesforce clouds.”

What does this mean for our customers?

  1. The Incubator continues our close alignment with Salesforce product managers. We’ll be getting first-hand knowledge as new releases roll out and provide real-time feedback based on our experience. Then, we’ll translate that intelligence back to our customers.

  2. We will be deeply embedded with decision makers. Again – providing avenues to maximize insights for our customers.

  3. The opportunity to focus on the next generation of AppExchange products and apps for AI, NLP, AR, and VR. The cutting edge is here.
